It is only recently an update has come that King Akkineni Nagarjuna might be doing a film with director Praveen Sattaru of PSV Garuda Vega fame. And now, we hear that the movie could be a remake?
The buzz in the industry is that Akkineni Nagarjuna is considering doing the remake of Bollywood movie Raid. It had Ajay Devgn in the lead and Ileana as his pair. The film was a commercial success at the box office earning a little more than 100 Cr.
It is not clear if Raid remake would be a new project unrelated to the Praveen Sattaru one. An official confirmation is awaited. However, going by the buzz that Nagarjuna plays a Chief Security Officer, there is an assumption that both could be same.
Interestingly, Anushka is expected to reprise her role from the original. It would be the first time she pairs with Nagarjuna if that happens.
Nagarjuna is currently busy with Wild Dog. Here plays an encounter specialist cop in the movie. Besides Wild Dog, he also is doing a special appearance in the Bollywood biggie Brahmastra. It is going to be his first in Hindi after nearly a decade and a half.
The fans naturally have a lot to look forward. The only hope would be not to repeat the fate of Manmadhudu 2, the last release of the senior star.
