Music director RP Patnaik took a conscious decision to quit music direction after walking out of Nagarjuna‘s super hit film ‘Nenunnaanu’. Since then, there has been a talk in the industry that Nag was responsible for RP’s decision.
Giving clarity on the matter RP said, “Nenunnanu is totally responsible for the decision.Nag has no hand in this. There is no bad blood between us and it is someone else who is actually responsible and Nag might not even be aware of the conflict. We meet on friendly terms.”
RP was roped in for the movie initially, but, the maker of the movie approached him and said that his movie is doing low business because of RP Patnaik. Grieved by the maker’s approach, he didn’t want the films’ businesses to suffer and hence quit music direction altogether. Later, he went on a pre-planned musical tour abroad ad hence missed Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Gudumba Shankar’ even.
