How Nagarjuna Convinced Saurabh Jain in Place of SumanSenior actor Suman played Lord Venkateshwara in Nagarjuna‘s devotional super hit movie ‘Annamayya’. When it came to ‘Namo Venkateshaya’, the makers of the movie replaced Suman with Saurabh Raj Jain, a television actor famous for the role of Lord Krishna in ‘Mahabharat’.

Explaining on this replacement, Nag makes us understand the logic behind. “A devotee can age. But, a God has to look ever young. It has been 20 years since Suman played Lord Venkateshwara.” That means, they had to look for an actor who doesn’t look aged. So, Saurabh Raj Jain came into the scenario.

Initially, the actor didn’t want to do the role as he was already popular for playing devotional roles and got fed up with people falling on his feet. But, when Nag asked him personally and explained to him how after three commercial hits, he is doing a devotional role, the actor accepted to play Lord Balaji.
