Telugu cinema’s first superstar Krishna passed away recently. Almost all the who’s and who of Tollywood came to pay their last respects to the legendary actor. But one actor’s absence has become a topic of discussion in film circles. He’s none other than Akkineni Nagarjuna.
Nagarjuna, who is usually present on such occasions to express his deepest condolences, was absent at Superstar Krishna’s funeral.
There is no clarity about why he could not be present. There’s a talk that Nag is out of the country or he is out of state. However, both Naga Chaitanya and Akhil came to express their condolences to Mahesh Babu and his family on his behalf.
Many of Nagarjuna’s fans are also lamenting on social media that he should have come to pay his last respects to such a legend no matter where he is.
Some fans argue that Nagarjuna used a chopper in the past to attend the shoot of Bigg Boss and also to meet the AP Chief minister, but he couldn’t do that for Superstar Krishna.
Also, Mahesh Babu attended Akhil’s movie events more than once so Nag should have attended Krishna’s funeral, no matter what.
But it must be realized that Nagarjuna would have definitely come if he could. There must be some serious and solid reason for him not coming to pay his last respects. He also came when Mahesh’s mother died recently. Without knowing the exact reason, it won’t be fair to point fingers at Nagarjuna.
