Telangana filmmaker N. Shankar, who is known for his films such as Jai Bolo Telangana, Raam and Jayadam Manade Ra, has expressed interest to join politics on behalf of TRS and contest from Nalgonda constituency in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
He says that he has not confirmed his entry into politics but has expressed interest to join TRS. Since his entry is not confirmed he said that it would not be wise to talk about it. He says he will publicly announce in a week or two about his political entry. He, however, confirmed that if he enters politics then he may not make films anymore.
He said a lot would depend on his future in politics. A politician’s life is usually busy, and therefore, of he becomes one, he feels he may not have time for his film career.
