In 2019, Vijay Deverakonda’s film, Hero, directed by Anand Annamalai was shelved after the producers, Mythri Movie Makers, were not impressed with the output. The film had even completed one schedule of shooting. The makers decided to drop the project, despite spending more than Rs 15 crore on its making.
Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film, Kushi, with the same banner, is a kind of compensation for that shelved project, Hero. But it looks like Mythri and Deverakonda combo films always get into trouble for whatsoever reason.
After Samantha, the heroine of Kushi, revealed her health condition recently, the prospects of Kushi getting released as per schedule look bleak.
The makers are not sure when Samantha will return to the shoot of the film after her treatment. In due course, Vijay Deverakonda’s dates might have to be shuffled and the project might get delayed for a few months increasing its production costs and putting an extra burden on the makers.
Vijay has pinned all his hopes on Kushi to get back to his winning ways after a spate of disasters. A lot is at stake and the makers would be praying for Samantha to report back on the sets of Kushi as soon as possible.
