Without an iota of a doubt, the songs are beautiful, and upon repeat hearings, they will stay with the listener for a long time. It is a classy treat with neatly blended melody. The three melodies ‘Adhento Gani”, “Padhe Padhe”, and “Prapanchame Alaa” stand out. The issue here is not the quality rather the popularity. The songs, for all the beautiful words, are not chartbuster types. They also lack mass appeal, and that’s the way it is before the release. Post-release the talk of the film is likely to add its impact.
Irrespective of how the album fares and helps the movie before release, the mere presence needs to be appreciated. The Telugu cinema music scene is lacking variety for a long time. Anirudh brings ‘variety’ and new sound and hence he should be roped in periodically. That Nani has got him again for his next venture is a sign in the right direction.
Jersey directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri of Mallirava fame is ready to hit screens on April 19th. In the US, the premieres will take place on April 18th. Shraddha Srinath plays the heroine in the sports drama opposite Nani. Suryadevara Naga Vamshi produces the movie on Sithara Entertainment banner.
