Murugadoss’s ambitious plans for Telugu, Tamil filmdom

Filmmaker A.R Murugadoss is one of the most versatile filmmakers of southern industry. He is known for actively promoting young talent besides his urge for making commercial films with superstars. Murugadoss’s latest Tamil hit is being dubbed in Telugu with the same title and is slated to release soon. He says he soon has plans to make a film in Telugu with newcomers.

Murugadoss says that he is open to hearing scripts from newcomers for his Telugu project. He has asked people with creative scripts to approach him and if he likes the script, he will rope them in. He feels nobody can judge if a story will work or not but one has to take the leap of faith by trusting his or her guts. He would like to see the line between Tamil and Telugu industries blurring and awaits the day to see a Tamil film release in as many as 400 screens across the two states and vice versa.

He says he made Raja Rani to give opportunities to as many as newcomers as possible. He would like to nurture young talent as much as possible as he feels it’s his responsibility.
