Mumbai Gangster Tried to Kill Ram Gopal Varma! One person who made bold films about the underworld gangsters and mafia existing in Mumbai was RGV. It’s common sense to think that those gangsters would have been literally cross with the director for depicting their real life characters on big screen.

After the release of one such gangster movie ‘Company’, RGV met a guy who came along with a crime reporter RGV knew. He told RGV that underworld don Chota Shakeel wanted to kill the director but was stopped by none other than the most wanted criminal Dawood Ibrahim. Why was Chota Shakeel angry?

There was a clownish character in ‘Company’ which was crafted based on the real life gangster Chota Shakeel felt the gangster, himself. This could be a real one or a made up story by the above mentioned guy to impress RGV.

However, RGV accepts that he has this fear of getting killed by gangsters one day as he made so many films based on their lives. These films had direct resemblances to the real life gangsters and mafia people regarding the characterisations.
