KCR-flyoverIn a bid to take Hyderabad to an international level city, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is planning multi-level grade separators (flyovers) at five junctions surrounding KBR Park, Jubilee Hills.

The idea will cost 380 Crore to the government and they will be “steel composite constructions” which will reduce 50 per cent of construction time. 380 crore is only for construction and the land acquisition will cost even more. GHMC will be floating global tenders for these flyovers in the first week of April.

The Jubilee Hills check-post grade separator is the biggest of these proposed flyovers and will cost Rs 120 crore. This idea will significantly reduce the traffic woes of the city. The usual flyovers will have traffic flow in two directions but multi-level flyovers facilitate simultaneous traffic flow in several directions.
