he most talked about remake in recent times is without any doubt, Ayyappanum Koshiyum. The Malayalam movie’s Telugu version is said to bring together Ravi Teja and Rana in the lead.
Initially, the Telugu remake had a lot of trouble finding the right lead pair. The two heroes selection is crucial for the movie to work. Finally, it looks like the issue is settled with Rana and Ravi Teja being on board. It still needs an official confirmation, though.
Now, the focus has shifted on the director. Young and talented director Sagar K Chandra is said to be in the talks for the remake. He is behind the fantastic Apptlo Okadundevadu starring Sree Vishnu.
Since then, Sagar Chandra was poised to start some flicks (at different points), but none materialized in the end. They were films with Ram and Varun Tej. Work on the critically acclaimed remake and its success would definitely help him get the right people for the ‘original’ subjects.
The Ayyappanum Koshiyum Telugu remake rights are taken by Suryadevara Naga Vamshi. Sitara Entertainments banner will produce the flick. It will get onto sets as and when things are normal concerning the shoots. Ravi Teja is currently busy with Krack in Gopichand Malineni’s direction.
