Most-Critical-Month-For-Tollywood-After-Baahubali-Movies-–-Saaho-At--Center!The month of August promises to be a game-changer with the release of Rebel Star starrer Saaho. But, before that arrives there are other films in the line. Let’s take a look at the movies that come in the upcoming weeks.

The first week saw Rakshasudu and Guna 369, hitting the cinemas. The former starring Bellamkonda Sreenivas has got right word of the mouth whereas the latter needs to pick up drastically if it has to survive the competition ahead.

August 9:

The long wait for a new Akkineni Nagarjuna’s movie ends with the release of Manmadhudu 2. The sophomore attempt of Rahul Ravindran, Manmadhdu 2, has Nagarjuna playing to the galleries with his image centred on ‘Manmadhudu’ tag.

August 10:

Another team coming after hiatus is Sampoornesh Babu with writer Steven Shankar. They gave Hrudaya Kaleyam in the past and now coming with Kobbari Matta. Much like the first one, Kobbari Matta too part parody and part spoof the clichés of Telugu cinema in village backdrop fares.

August 15:

Initially, it was the date taken by Saaho, but with a delay in place, the makers of Ranarangam and Evaru latched on to it. Both films belong to different genres, even though crime remains the common element. Ranarangam provides an excellent opportunity for Sharwanand to make a make in the second league. Evaru, on the other hand, looks like another solid addition to Adavi Sesh’s ever-growing niche base.

August 23:

The week before the storm hits, the nation will see the release of Kausalya Krishnamurthy. It is a sports drama that is remade from successful Tamil film Kanaa. Nothing much is expected commercially, as of now, but one can’t rule out surprises as it is one of the well-promoted movies in recent times.

August 30:

There are big movies, starring the top stars that come every few months. Some keenly awaited flicks have a great buzz to them, and then there is Saaho. It is the most critical film for the Telugu film industry after the two Baahubali movies. All the industries will track the box office performance of Saaho. A success here would give wings to the imagination of filmmakers across the Southern film industries. Sujeeth, a one-film old director, helms the project.
