On Sunday, legendary filmmaker SS Rajamouli attended Governors Awards in LA amid the Oscar buzz for RRR. During his U.S. trip, he met many prominent Hollywood technicians and makers including Mission Impossible and Star Wars director JJ Abrams which made Indian fans go berserk with frenzy on social media.
Fans hope once SS Rajamouli returns to India, he gives an interview and share everything about the experience of screening RRR for west audeinces, the meetings he had with the world’s renowned studio executives, and the awards campaign. This is the first for any Telugu filmmaker.
The only other director who reached this stage was director Vetrimaaran in 2017 whose film Visaranai was sent as India’s official entry.
No other Telugu filmmaker or an Indian director would have the fortune of experiencing all this, at least in the near future. So an interview with Rajamouli would be a pleasure and a treasure for every Indian movie lover.
However, if RRR gets nominated for the Oscars then the western press will anyhow hound SS Rajamouli for his interviews.
