Telangana government is eyeing more celebrities now. The government which shook actor Nagarjuna over illegal land encroachment, is now eyeing celebrities who have misused the lands allotted to them for non filmy purposes. Between 1983 and 1999, the then governments had allotted lands to various celebrities at subsidized rates to help the expansion of film industry in Hyderabad. The condition of land allotments is to use the lands exclusively.

Director K.Raghavendra Rao, KS Prakash, Krishna Mohan were granted half acres each for setting up recording and film-shooting studios. But they violated the condition and built commercial establishments in those lands. Raghavendra Rao and Krishna Mohan have built Cinemax theaters at the land allotted to them in Road No.2, Banjara Hills. And the land allotted to KS Prakash is used as parking lot. Even though the celebrities are ready to pay any penalty to regularize the constructions but government is only keen on reclaiming the land which is worth more than 100 Crores today.
