More-Theaters-To-Go-into-the-Hands-of-SyndicatesThere are allegations of some filmmakers becoming syndicates and are getting film theaters of both the Telugu states under their hold. Many small filmmakers used to allege that this cartel is denying a proper release for their films. If those apprehensions are true, things are going to get further worse in the coming days.

It has been close to two months since the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic began and there is no chance of theaters opening any sooner. Telangana Cinematography Minister, Talasani Srinivas Yadav clarified that they are not thinking on the lines of opening the theaters in the coming 2-3 months.

The Single Screen theaters which are not under any syndicate will be fighting for existence in the coming days. They are clear that they will never recover from this without the Government’s aid. Even if the Government allows to function with 50% occupancy, they can not survive.

Under such circumstances, the theaters will have to yield to the syndicates or shut shop.
