After the success of Telugu film Alias Janaki, which released online simultaneously with theatrical release, several other low-budget films are following suit. As many as five Telugu films are expected to take this route in the next few months.
The latest addition to the list of films being released online is Vennela Kishore-starrer Athadu Aame O Scooter. The film is set to release online on Zingreel along with its theatrical release. Audiences can watch the film online on the release at $3.
Other films that are expected to release online include Kalicharan and Mathru Devo Bhava. This is a great move by these filmmakers as the world is going digital, it makes sense to release films online.
