Narendra Modi is all set to swear in as the 14th Prime Minister of India on 26th of this month. The journey of the last few months of the leader is awe inspiring and every detail of it got too much of attention from the youth and as well as the media of the nation. Modi rightly used the social networking sites to penetrate in to the new voters of the country with Twitter and Facebook.

According to Facebook administrators, Narendra Modi has the fastest growing Facebook page for any elected official in the world and is only second after US president Barack Obama in terms of fan following of politicians. Modi had 12.46 million fans on the Facebook during the first phase of elections and now after being appointed by president Pranab Mukherjee as the next prime minister of the country, it had jumped to 15.245 million fans.

And in Twitter, Modi is the sixth most followed world leader on Twitter. His Twitter handle @narendramodi has 4,240,643 followers with a weekly growth of 6.77%, monthly rise of 12.22% and quarterly growth of 24.26%. The most followed world leader is US President Barack Obama, followed by Pope Francis. The other three who are ahead of Modi are the President of Indonesia SB Yudhoyono, the official White House account, and Turkish President Abdullah Gul.
