So, finally, there is an official announcement regarding the casting of Telugu remake of critically acclaimed Bollywood and National Award winning movie, Andhadhun.
The Nithiin starrer will have Nabha Natesh in the female lead. It was a simple choice to make, considering she replaces Radhika Apte. However, it is the casting of Tabu that became a prolonged issue for the remake. It is because of this role that the announcement took a long time to come.
After much deliberation, Tamannah is taken for the part of Tabu. No doubt, it will be one of the most challenging acting job of her career, if not the most. To match up to the brilliance of Tabu would be a task cut out for her. So far the reaction has been mixed as none expected Tamannah as Tabu’s replacement. It has come out of the blue and taken everyone by surprise. Previously, Nayanthara was considered for the role, but the rumour is that remuneration became an issue.
Merlapaka Gandhi of Venkatadri Express, Express Raja, and Krishnarjuna Yuddham fame directs the remake. Mahati Swara Sagar of Chalo fame is roped in as the music director. Again, these two would be a tough job to follow considering the stellar work done by the director and music director of the original.
N Sudhakar Reddy and Nikita Reddy produce the Telugu remake of Andhadhun on Sreshth Movies banner. Tagore Madhu will present the thriller.
Nithiin is currently busy with Rang De. It will be wrapped up soon and only after that the Andhadhun remake will go onto the sets.
