Mishan Impossible ControversyA few months ago, we had the ultimate biggie RRR that landed into controversy. It was over the star of the film, Jr NTR’s character wearing a skull cap. It wouldn’t have been a problem normally, but as it’s based on the real-life hero, Komaram Bheem, it became a big issue.

Now, we have a small film, Mishan Impossible that has landed in controversy. It is also related to religion. The first look poster that is out recently had three kids in avatars of different God’s. It wouldn’t have been a problem, usually, but here we see the kids holding weapons in their hand.

The ‘weapons’ in hand is where the problem starts. It has led to a massive online furore. The makers had to issue an apology and withdraw the poster.

It also makes one wonder regarding the movie (Mishan Impossible) itself. As many might be aware, it is set in the temple town of Tirupati with the backdrop of bounty hunters. Would people take offence to the story as well as its set in the holy place?

The incident related to the poster proves an increasing intolerance among the people. It is in general, and irrespective of the religion. The cinemas, big or small, are becoming an easy target. The makers should be careful given the circumstances.

Mishan Impossible is the second outing of director RSJ Swaroop. His first was the much loved Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya. Matinee Entertainment produces the crime drama.
