Minugurulu to have simultaneous DTH & theatrical release

It’s finally a great news for film lovers as well for young filmmakers, who struggle to find theatres to release their films. We have heard about so many film not being able to get release in large number of screens, but here’s a good news for all such films and filmmakers. For the first time in Indian cinema, Telugu film ‘Minugurulu’, which is release tomorrow, will have simultaneous release via Airtel DTH.

The film will be available for viewing at 00.30 hours on channel number 157. It will available for viewing for five days until Jan 28. Customers can book the movie by sending the SMS to 54325. The cost for viewing the film is Rs. 100 per day. Once booked, a customer can watch any or all the eight shows of the movie airing on the particular day.

‘Minukumanna Minugurlu’, which is directed by debutant Ayodhya Kumar, features 40 blind children and seeks to inspire people to contribute to improving the lives of the visually impaired. The film featuring Suhasini Maniratnam, Ashish Vidyarthi and Raghuvir Yadav was recently screened at the 18th International Children’s Film Festival of India. Dasari has picked up the distribution of the film in Andhra Pradesh.
