Retired seven-times Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher was admitted to a hospital in Grenoble. He was reportedly injured with severe head injuries after an off-piste skiing accident in the French Alps resort of Meribel. He is currently in ‘critical’ condition and is in coma.
Professor Gerard Saillant, a brain and spinal injury expert who is also president of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) Institute is attending up on the former champion. Schumacher was reportedly wearing a helmet after suffering the fall and is very much conscious when taken to hospital but later slipped in to coma. Millions of fans and well wishers are shocked at this news and are praying for his quick recovery!
