Teaser Talk: A Unique Attempt

Mercury-Teaser-Talk--A-Unique-AttemptMany must have heard the name of director Karthik Subbaraj recently when it was announced that he would be directing the next movie of Superstar Rajinikanth. Watching the teaser of the director’s latest and getting to know about some of his past films would make one realise that it is for nothing that he got such a big chance.

The director of Pizza, Jigarthanda, and Iraivi has come up with another unique attempt. This time it is a silent thriller that seems to tackle the zombie movies genre. It is done regularly in the West but is an uncommon theme in the Indian context. Only handful films have been made in a very long history. The sound design and atmosphere are spot on in the teaser, but we have to see if the director can manage to engage using technical details for the whole duration without any dialogues or not.

Check out the teaser below. The makers are promoting that Mercury- a film with no language will release in all languages. The date of arrival is April 13th.
