If NS Raj Kumar, producer of the recent Kannada hit ‘Mythri’, has his way, then he will be soon seeing superstar Nagarjuna playing a key role in the Telugu remake. Released last week in Karnataka, ‘Mythri’, starring Mohan Lal, Puneeth Raj Kumar and Archana Veda in the lead roles, is a touching story of a boy who makes it big on Kotyadhipathi quiz programme, the Hindi version of Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by Puneeth.
Since Nag too touched millions of hearts with the Telugu version of the same quiz programme, the producer, it is understood, has approached him to catch the flick before he makes his mind to whether star in the remake or not. “Yes, Raj Kumar has indeed reached out to Nag. The actor might catch the flick this week depending on his schedule,” said a source.
It is worth mentioning that Nag has shied away from starring in remakes for a long time. ‘Snehamante Idera’ (2001), a remake of Malayalam hit ‘Friends’, was the last remake that he starred in.
