Megastar Chiranjeevi’s dream project Sye Raa released with massive expectations all over on October 2nd. As many have expected before release, Sye Raa has set new non-Baahubali 2 record by crossing Saaho, on its opening day.
The first day collections of Sye Raa are a little less than 38 Cr. The movie has set All Time Records beating Baahubali 2 in a few areas like Krishna, and Uttar Andhra. In all other territories barring Nizam and Nellore, Sye Raa is the second best. It goes to show how better publicity and planning with proper release and no last-minute hiccups could have taken Sye Raa to the top. There was also a massive competition to deal with in key territory like Nizam (Hyderabad city).
A combination of various factors like the release on National Holiday (Gandhi Jayanthi), hikes in ticket prices, hires, SGs, and MGs have majorly given a boost to this enormous number. Had the issues been taken care off before release, Sye Raa would have needed a less lot of effort on this score. It is, therefore, a missed opportunity to get the ultimate record.
The all-time top 3 openers are now Baahubali 2, Sye Raa and Saaho. All the three films are above 30 Cr share mark with Baahubali 2 being more than 40 Cr. It (30 Cr share) is all set to become a new benchmark for top stars on opening day.
Megastar Chiranjeevi with his comeback Khaidi No 150 set an all-time record crossing Baahubali. With his second movie, he has set a new non-Baahubali 2 record. It shows age is just a number for Megastar and he has returned straight away to his top position even after a decade long absence.
