Megastar Chiranjeevi Gives Clarity On His Unexpected ExitEver since director Sujeeth got dropped from Lucifer remake in Telugu, there have been so may murmur surrounding it. There was no official clarity, though. Well, after a long gap, Megastar Chiranjeevi himself has cleared the airs.

According to Megastar Chiranjeevi, Sujeeth was very much interested in the Lucifer remake, but due to the marriage, he had to opt-out. Sujeeth could not give his full attention to the remake, and hence, he excused himself from the project.

VV Vinayak will now handle Lucifer remake. Chiranjeevi has given an official confirmation regarding the same. He has also agreed to star in Vedalam remake, and Meher Ramesh will direct it. The official announcement regarding the latter would arrive after the completion of Acharya.

VV Vinayak’s last directorial venture was Intilligent starring Sai Dharam Tej. It was an all-time disaster at the box office. His last success was the one before it, which also marked the comeback of Megastar Chiranjeevi, Khaidi No 150. Incidentally, it was also a remake film (Vijay starrer Kaththi). We have to see if he can repeat the magic again with Chiranjeevi.

The original Lucifer is a Malayalam movie starring Mohan Lal. It was a sensational blockbuster for the senior star. One of the young stars of the Malayalam film industry, Prithviraj Sukumaran directed the action entertainer.
