Vaishnav Tej Akhil AkkineniVaishnav Tej made an indelible mark with his debut film, Uppena. The actor then teased the audience with rustic visuals from his second project, Kondapolam. Directed by Krish, starring Rakul Preet Singh the film was scheduled as a Dasara special, October 8.

But if reports are anything to go by, then Kondapolam has got postponed. The film has moved out of Dasara race, making way for Akhil Akkineni’s Most Eligible Bachelor, which is also slated for release on the same day, October 8.

While the reason is yet to be known for the postponement, the move has certainly given an advantage to Akhil’s MEB. The only other film that is in the Dasara race is Maha Samudram which is scheduled for release on October 14. And if the ticket issue is resolved in Andhra Pradesh, then Drushyam 2 may arrive.

In the meantime, it has come as an advantage for MEB as Akhil is vying to score a blockbuster. As the film comes from Allu Aravind’s compound, it carries good buzz. And if no other film makes it to the festive race, then MEB has a bright chance to score.
