Powerstar Pawan Kalyan is announcing movies left, right and centre. We knew about them on his birthday only. Here is one announcement which did not come officially back then, but was hinted by the producer. We had got this covered too on in the birthday but mentioned that the makers need to confirm it again. Well, here it now and it comes with a twist.
The movie in question is Sithara Entertainment Production by Suryadevara Naga Vamshi. It is the official remake of Malayalam movie, Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Pawan Kalyan plays the role of an elderly cop from the original. However, it comes with a twist in Telugu, and that is the exciting part for the fans.
The makers in their official announcement have revealed that the favourite cop of Telugu cinema is back. Add this to the tag given to Pawan Kalyan – the king of attitude, could this mean we would see Gabbar Singh in a new avatar?
If the makers deliver on what they promise, and the director Saagar Chandra can recreate the high of Gabbar Singh in a different context, the remake is sure to set the box office on fire in Telugu.
Check out the official announcement video below. S Thaman is roped in as the music director for the film. It is his second back to back outing for Pawan Kalyan. Vakeel Saab being the previous. Saagar K Chandra of Ayyare and Apptlo Okadundevadu fame directs the movie. It will be the immediate next release of Pawan Kalyan after Vakeel Saab.
