Ace film maker Mani Ratnam’s upcoming movie Kadal had created ripples in South as the movie is exploring the sensitive issue of Indian fishermen being tormented as they enter into Sri Lankan waters by mistake. The shooting of the movie is complete and is in extensive post production phase. The film is set in the backdrop of the lives of fishermen and is shot in some tough conditions including torrential rains and exotic locales in South Tamil Nadu and Andaman & Nicobar islands. The movie release is confirmed on February 1st. It will be dubbed and released simultaneously in Telugu as Kadali.
The film features debutant Gautham Karthik, son of actor Karthik and debutant Thulasi Nair, daughter of Radha in the lead roles. Arvind Swami and Lakshmi Manchu will be seen in important roles.
