mallika sherawat court caseIt seems that Mallika Sherawat finally gets a spot of relief in her legal troubles when the Bombay High Court allowed her to file a revision application. This is regarding the process issued by a magistrate court over a private complaint filed by a local businessman. The man, Rajnikant Boulere of Yavatmal, accused Mallika of obscenity and complained that the kind of clothes she wore in her films and public shows were spoiling social health.

The complaint was filed in the year 2009 and was later challenged in the high court. However, the hearing has been pending since 2010. Moreover, neither Sherawat nor Boulere’s lawyers were present when the court took up the application for hearing. But finally justice has been done and Mallika’s revision applicaton has been accepted.

Mallika’s plea claimed that the Censor Board had cleared all the films mentioned in the if any person is aggrieved by this decision of the Board, they should seek remedy under section 5D of the Cinematograph Act.
