viswaroop-in-malaysia

It seems that Kamal Haasan’s multilingual spy thriller has not only landed in trouble within the nation but outside of it too. News had reached us that Vishwaroopam had faced some conflicts with certain Islamic groups  of the Muslim community. In this context, The Penang Muslim League in Malaysia wants the National Film Development Corporation (Finas) to review the newly released Vishwaroopam.

The president of the corporation Datuk Najmudeen Kadeer believes that the movie, written, co-produced and directed by the well-known Kamal Haasan has shown the Muslim community in a bad light and therefore the Muslim League had asked FINAS to review the movie for either censorship or suspension. He further added that Malaysia as a multiracial country should not screen movies that contain sensitive issues.
