Major Team Betters Bollywood In That Crucial AspectAdivi Sesh Major, biopic on the life of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan , has been the talking point ever since the first look was out. The recently released teaser gave the best response for Adivi Sesh in his career till date.

Meanwhile, production designer Avinash Kolla who has worked for award-winning film Mahanati has come up with six sets for Major. They have erected The Gateway of India, and iconic Taj Palace Hotel at a studio in Hyderabad. Nearly 500 workers were involved for over a period of 10-days to build the Taj Hotel.

To get the detailing and other facets accurate, the team had put up in Taj Hotel for four days. To construct a 120-feet edifice representing a five-storeyed building, they have used wood, fiber and iron. Giving it a more authentic look, they have incorporated a grand staircase, statue of Tata, and iconic paintings of MF Hussain. The Taj Hotel set has been used in numerous Hindi films, but this one stays true to the original as it is comprehensive.

The makers didn’t compromise on the sets, since Taj Hotel is a character in itself. The large chunk of portions have been shot at Taj Hotel, so one can imagine the larger-than-life value it would bring on the silver screen. Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, it has Saiee Manjrekar and Sobhitha Dhulipalla in vital roles. Major is a pan-India film which is bankrolled jointly by Sony Pictures, GMB entertainment, and A+S Movies.
