As expected, Majili has opened to good bookings all over. We had previously mentioned how lack of proper big commercial films post-Sankranthi is going to turn out to be an advantage for Majili despite elections around the corner. The same is happening.
The theatrical trailer has sealed the deal for Majili. The Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, starrer has generated curiosity among the audience. With the last film of the director Ninnu Kori being successful as well, there is further push. All the “A” centres are showing superb occupancies.
The release is not huge, but solo arrival is always helpful. The opening day numbers are going to be big for sure, if the talk aids, it could be even better. But given the size of the release, record-breaking performance should not be expected. In the US too, after a gap, there is some good buzz. Majili will hit the screens worldwide on April 5th.
