If visuals were alone worth the ticket price then all Mani Ratnam films would be worthy of the ticket price for visuals alone. Cheliyaa once again proves this point with dazzling visuals in the latest one-minute promo “Maimarupaa”.
So, visuals are not the problem it’s the content. Cheliyaa is slowly building in that department but nothing is known as of now except for the fact that it would contain love story. The clean shaven get up of Karthi will require some strong performance to sit through. Musically too Rahman has to deliver big but even that doesn’t look guaranteed as of now, based on the sample.
