For the first time, Mahesh Baabu is funding his own film. That means he is going to count on the profits of the films and that would decide his remuneration. Mahesh Babu and Namratha are co-producers of Mahesh Babu;s upcoming movie ‘Srimanthudu’. This is something like a comeback to Namratha to films as a producer as she isn’t keen on acting because her kids aren’t grown up yet.
She is going to look into marketing side of their production house G mahesh Babu Entertainment Pvt Ltd. So, why has Mahesh and Namratha chose to produce films? Namratha opines that when the hero of the film turns producer, the budget of the film automatically stays within the planned limits and doesn’t sky-rocket. The actor also will have a say in the making of the film.
Well, Bollywood star heroes like Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and others already ventured into production on the same concept mentioned by Namratha. She opines that this model only works for big stars. Mahesh’s production house will also be making films with others when something really exciting comes their way. And the superstar will also be doing films with outside banners even.
