After delivering a blockbuster album with Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, music director Thaman hit the top league. Every big star wanted him to score music for their upcoming films. But after AVPL, there isn’t a single blockbuster album from Thaman. The only time he impressed everyone was with the BGM of Akhanda.
There were some decent albums like Vakeel Saab and Bheemla Nayak, but they are not like commericial chartbusters. Everyone, especially Mahesh fans, expected that Thaman would outdo himself with Sarkaru Vaari Paata, but except for the Kalavathi song, nothing worked. Even the BGM he scored in the film received brickbats from fans and the audience.
Mahesh fans lost faith in Thaman and now they are requesting the makers of SSMB28 to remove Thaman from the film and take Anirudh. They want Anirudh, but they are even ok if a newcomer is signed to score the music but not Thaman. They are threatening to run a negative trend on social media against Thaman and the makers if they don’t remove him.
But fans must realize that nothing can be done now. Thaman has already planned music sittings with Mahesh and Trivikram this week in Dubai. Mahesh is also showing a lot of interest in the music this time as he wants to deliver a musical blockbuster.
Fans should also keep in mind that Trivikram is an expert in extracting excellent work from his music directors, so they should be optimistic and hope for the best.
