mahesh-babu-vs-jr-ntr-vs-ram-charan-2018-top-3-performersThere are still two months to go, but looking at the release chart, it does look like there won’t be any changes. Of course, there is always a scope of surprise, keeping that unexpected aside, here are the top 3 performances of the year so far.

1. Without any doubt what so ever, the actor at the top is Ram Charan. With ever-increasing criticism on acting, it became imperative for Cherry to shut the detractors. He did that and much more with Rangasthalam that made not only the fans but entire TFI proud. The biggest highlight of the performance was total invisibility of Charan –the Star and only presence of Chitti Babu – the Character. He entirely owned the role and won everyone with his act.

2. At the second spot is Tarak with his intensely ferocious act in Aravindha Sametha. The acting credentials of Jr NTR are never doubted, but from time to time, the bar needs to be raised, and Tarak did that beautifully. The opening sequence will stay etched in the memories of the fans for a long time to come. The “Seema” dialect and six-packs look, add to the overall appeal and bring freshness to the part.

3. Finally, at the third place of Mahesh Babu for his Chief Minister turn in Bharat Ane Nenu. There is nothing new performance wise in the given part, apart from subtle changes in the dialogue delivery, but it is the intensity and emotion that clicks. The press meet scene offers a glimpse of the hidden volcano inside the star. Unfortunately, everything else was standard fare including the looks that got heavily criticized for lack of variations.

So, here we have it. Unlike the last year, this year the stars have shown their worth and stood out for their acting parts rather than just playing regular commercial heroes in masala potboilers. We hope the trend continues in the future as well.
