Mahesh Babu, Suriya, & Ranbir Kapoor Across Industries Sailing On Disaster Boat!Spyder is a disaster, and the verdict is out loud and clear. There is a widespread debate among the fans on whom to blame regarding the failure, and as usual, the director, in this case, AR Murugadoss has become the scapegoat. We too believe its director fault primarily but also Mahesh Babu is equally responsible. However, if we dig a little bit deeper, the problem that Mahesh Babu is experiencing seems to be universal and across industries.

Few stars in Bollywood and Kollywood are sailing on the same boat. Interestingly enough, they all are known as ‘actors’ and attract the best talents. The stars are Suriya from Tamil and Ranbir Kapoor from Hindi.

Just like Mahesh Babu, Suriya and Ranbir Kapoor are delivering back to back duds working with the best names in the respective industries. Before Mahesh Babu, it was Suriya who worked in the least liked AR Murugadoss film. They all currently are part of biggest disasters in the respective industries.

On further analyzing, we realize they also share same aspirations. There is a “Hollywood” syndrome that is commonly affecting all these talented stars. And these big films are lacking elements that connect them to the fans and smaller centers. Superstar Mahesh Babu’s biggest hits like Okkadu, Pokiri, Dookudu, and Srimanthudu have all been mass affairs with a touch of class. They appeal to all the sections. Same is the case with Ranbir Kapoor who scored his biggest hit with universally loved Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani.

The main point is it’s not the big budget or the Hollywood standards that excite the audience. It is the rooted content that appeals to everyone. Even the grand films can be made with “rooted” content as Baahubali movies, and Robo proves. It applies to all the industries. Bharat Ane Nenu looks like that ‘desi’ movie on the surface. Let’s hope Mahesh Babu keeps that in mind going forward as Industry Disasters aren’t going to help his reputation going forward.
