According to the official numbers, the movie already crossed 100 Crore Share in 5 days and it is even the fastest 100 Crore share film among regional films.
But the actual numbers are at least ~20% less. Inflating the numbers is not anything new in Tollywood. We see some of that in every film but the case of Sarkaru Vaari Paata is different.
All the regular trackers got their sources cut off. Distributors who give the numbers on a daily basis have got strict instructions to stay silent.
There are allegations of blocking of tickets, DCRs management, etc at many centers.
Mahesh Babu is on a promotional overdrive. He has attended a success meet in Kurnool and will be attending another one in Vijaywada this weekend. He is clearly endorsing the fake numbers.
A parallel system has been established so as to manipulate the numbers.
This is not the first time Mahesh Babu is accused of inflating numbers. We have been seeing them right since Mahesh’s early days.
There is an impression in the industry that no other star hero of that generation takes collections so seriously.
We do not know how it all started. Mahesh Babu is a Superstar and commands a huge following in all sections of the audience.
Sarkaru Vaari Paata definitely performed better than the talk and reviews. It is possible only because of a star like Mahesh Babu and his pull.
That is the biggest achievement of Mahesh Babu as far as Sarkaru Vaari Paata is concerned.
It would have been a proud claim for the star and his fans. But everything has been ruined with these fake collections.
It is often difficult for a star to know the reality. But only when it happens, the star can plan his career better and get to the next level. Someone should let Mahesh Babu know this.
