The trailer of Sarkaru Vaari Paata was unveiled the other day and it opened to a largely positive response on social media. The trailer implies that there is one thing SVP has that none of the recent Telugu big ticket releases had – comedy.
The Telugu audience were bombarded with mass films like Akhanda, Pushpa, RRR, and KGF 2. They might be looking for a change in personnel and a proper big ticket film like SVP which has ample dose of comedy might be the right film for the job, given it comes with the right content.
The trailer implies that the comedy angle is mostly attributed to Mahesh Babu’s characterization, sarcasm, and punch dialogues. After all the mass overdose in the past few months, a proper comedy caper with a big star like Mahesh Babu at the center of it is what the audience might be wanting.
That said, there have been a handful of commercial entertainers in the recent past including Acharya. So, Sarkaru Vaari Paata also faces the challenge of offering something fresh and comical at the same time. If it ticks the box, then the film is likely to make it big at the box office.
