Mahesh babu piracyThe first big film that’s going to stream on regional Aha platform is going to be Ravi Teja’s ‘Krack‘ on 5th February. They are now worried about piracy and therefore, they issued a legal warning for piracy and are also taking care to be vocal about piracy issues.

Aha people held a meet during which Tammareddy Bharadwaj went back to remind what happened when Mahesh Babu took the issue in his own hands, raided a CD shop in Warangal and caught the pirates red-handed selling pirated CDs.

But, it was Mahesh Babu who was very young in his career who had to suffer as he had to go to jail along with them though he was not kept in jail and also attended the court’s hearings. It was a sensational move by the superstar back then.

Watching a movie on a digital platform is like watching it on television, not much change. Only if there is a change in the technology that makes OTT viewing better than the TV experience, piracy is going to be stay. There is another added benefit for the pirates.

The pirated copy they obtain for OTT releases is comparatively good and that’s the main headache for Aha right now. The subscription price of Aha is quite minimal, only Rs. 365 for a year. Even then, youth isn’t willing to pay even that small amount and therefore, resorting to watching new movies through pirated copies and downloads.
