Sankranthi 2022 is turning out to be a curious case for all Tollywood biggies. It is clear that not all could come to the festival, but so far no one is officially making a postponement announcement. The latest to join is Superstar Mahesh Babu. He too doesn’t trust Rajamouli and is following plan B.
RRR is the super biggie, an event movie that everyone is wary off. If RRR makes it to the festival on time, no one else would come. However, it is a big ‘if’. There is a lack of trust among others if SS Rajamouli could bring RRR on time. This distrust is the reason for plan B.
Officially, no one would announce a postponement from Sankranthi 2022. Today, on the occasion of Keerthy Suresh’s birthday, Sarkaru Vaari Paata once again reiterated their January 13th release date. However, the movie will arrive on that date only if RRR doesn’t make it on time.
Information by local distributors is always the best source for release dates. It is clear among trade that distributors can’t accommodate more than two biggies. As of now, RRR and Radhe Shyam are those biggies.
