As many as four films are slated to release on May 11th weekend. As of now, Mahanati (May 9), Saakshyam, Rajugadu and Mehabooba have officially announced release dates.
As we all know, on May 4th the Allu Arjun starrer Naa Peru Surya is releasing. It would mean a huge chunk of its screens getting removed after just a week. A release or two might be okay, but these many releases are raising doubts among trade if NPS will arrive on May 4th or come earlier than anticipated with Kaala looking unlikely to make it on April 27.
The latest addition Mehabooba is a Puri Jagannadh directorial. Dil Raju has taken its theatrical rights. The distributor-director association in the past was seen for films like Idiot and Pokiri. Their coming together has made Mehabooba a hot property all of a sudden.
