Telugu Film industry seems to be slowly getting back on track after the Pandemic. After the sensational response to the Sankranthi Releases, filmmakers are coming forward to release their films in trenches. We have a minimum of one release every week from now. We have been seeing multiple releases as well in some weeks.
It looks like there is a mad rush at the Telugu Box Office for Maha Shivaratri festival on March 12th. As many as three notable films are releasing on March 11th. Sharwanand‘s Sreekaram, Sree Vishnu’s Gaali Sampath, and Naveen Polishetty’s Jathiratnalu have announced releasing that day.
All the three films have good cast and promise to bring the audience to theaters. Except for Gaali Sampath which was started after the Lockdown, remaining two films were supposed to release for Summer last year but got delayed due to the Pandemic.
Usually, March is not seen as a conducive time for film releases due to the exam season but this time the exams are delayed until May this year. Moreover, the filmmakers seem to be banking heavily on the festival advantage. It has to be seen how three of them fare at the box office in the festive season.
