‘Baahubali’ is definitely an epic in Indian context and one who thinks too traditional would want to evade evil eyes by embracing superstitions. Prabhas fans from the Telangana regions of Vikarabad and Rangareddy have showed the peaks of Prabhas mania by sacrifising a goat for their favourite star.
Ironically in the epic drama, Prabhas forgoes the ritual of sacrifising an animal (bali) before the war begins, in one particular scene, Rana as Bhallaladeva sacrifises a buffalo as part of the war rituals. But Prabhas fans did the thing which the star hero evaded in the movie.
This bitter reality openly shows, how crazy fans hit by mania don’t even listen or get the meaning of what their star hero is trying to transact through his character in the movie.
