Naga Chaitanya‘s Love Story was initially announced for September 10th as Vinayaka Chavithi i.e., today. But then, the movie was not released to avoid a clash with Nani’s Tuck Jagadish which was released on Amazon Prime Video. The makers of Love Story, Telangana Film Chamber, and the exhibitors opposed clashing OTT films with theatrical releases.
After so much ruckus, they themselves had to take a backstep. Tuck Jagadish released as planned. But then, the makers of Love Story did not announce the postponement. They just halted the film promotions. Finally, on the day the movie was to be released, they announced the postponement.
“Due to unavoidable circumstances, the release of #LoveStory has been postponed to 24th September, 2021,” their message read. Keeping aside the postponement, it is good to note a sizable film releasing in theaters before Dussehra. Hopefully, the ticket rates issue in Andhra Pradesh will be resolved and the night shows will be allowed by then.
Directed by Sekhar Kammula, Love Story has Sai Pallavi as the female lead. A couple of songs were chartbuster creating buzz around the film.
