Legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s latest historical drama, Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1, is all set to release on September 30. Then there is Selvaraghavan’s Nene Vasthunna, for which he is teaming up with his brother Dhanush after a gap of 11 years. This film is also targetting September end for the release.
No big Telugu film is going to release during that weekend, and that is going to give a big boost to the collections of these two dubbed films in Telugu states. If the makers can promote the films well in the Telugu market, then it might be a lottery for both films.
Biggies like Godfather and The Ghost are scheduled to release on October 5, so if the content of PS1 and Nene Vasthunna clicks, then both the films will have open ground for one full week, which would be enough for their distributors to make enough moolah.
Good promotions and decent content can take these films to the winning post!
