Maruthi is one director who takes up a unique subject and serves it with ample comedy to the audience. But for the last few years, his films have been falling flat except for Prathi Roju Pandage. Even his last film Manchi Rojulochaie received a lukewarm response when it was released directly on OTT.
Now Maruthi is coming up with the comical courtroom drama, Pakka Commercial starring Gopichand. The film is scheduled for a July 1st release. The film’s theatrical trailer received a decent response.
Pakka Commercial is going to be a litmus test for Maruthi. If he delivers this time, he will bag the biggest project of his career, and his career will take off in a big way.
There are reports that Maruthi is in advanced talks with Prabhas for a horror comedy film tentatively titled Raja Deluxe. But the future of that project depends on the success of Pakka Commercial.
But if, in any case, Pakka Commercial doesn’t do well, then Prabhas will reconsider his choice of doing a film with Maruthi.
