There is a known sentiment in the film industry that whoever works with Rajamouli gets a blockbuster to his credit but, followed by a flop. There seems to be a clear pattern as some of the heroes had worked with Rajamouli more than once, and they faced the same result.
NTR and Prabhas have got the chance to work with Rajamouli multiple times. NTR has ‘Student No: 1’, ‘Simhadri’ and ‘Yamadonga’ turning into blockbusters but all the films that followed the blockbusters aka ”Subbu’, ‘Andhrawala’ and ‘Kantri’ were disasters.
The same thing happened with Prabhas right after ‘Chatrapathi’ and ‘Baahubali’ when Prabhas gave disasters like ‘Pournami’ and now, ‘Saaho‘ right after blockbusters. Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja scored a flop ‘Khatarnak’ after Rajamouli’s ‘Vikramarkudu’ and Nithin delivered a dud ‘Allari Bullodu’ after ‘Sye’.
Nani’s ‘Eega’ was followed by the flop ‘Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu’ while Sunil’s ‘Maryada Ramanna’ was by ‘Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam Appalaraju’. Ram Charan‘s fate was no different after ‘Magadheera’ followed by a flop movie ‘Orange’.
It’s interesting to see that every hero who worked with Rajamouli had a super flop film as his next. The reason could be rushing things and making wrong choices after a blockbuster with Rajamouli. Things are read differently in the film industry, and therefore, it’s become a superstition sort of thing about working with Rajamouli.
