Superstar Rajinikanth’s Lingaa released in huge number of theaters yesterday but it has not brought the joy to the trade as they have anticipated.
Lingaa has opened with poor talk yesterday and it has impacted the overall opening of the film. The advance booking of the film helped great deal in the film having a decent opening. If not for the advances the way film nosedived as the day progressed in single screens numbers could have been much worse. Today, on the second day the smaller centers saw heavy drops pointing at end of run after the weekend. The bigger centers were better in comparison.
On the whole this is not what the trade had in mind with a biggie like Lingaa starring the ultimate Superstar. Will the collections in A centers stabilize or drop further, these will determine final range of the film.
