Superstar Rajinikanth’s Lingaa is facing troubles from unexpected quarters when it looked like everything is set for a smooth release of the film. The past dues from the stars previous film are the reason for this.
Rajinikanth’s last release was Kochadaiiyaan that released earlier in the year. The film despite being an animation movie was sold for record prices simply based on the name of Rajini. However Rajini failed to attract the audience in animation avatar and people who bought the film for heavy prices incurred huge losses. Now when he is getting ready with a new film, those people who lost the money are causing trouble and making it difficult for the film to release.
Lingaa as of now is facing such trouble in Kerala market, an important territory for Tamil films. The buyers have made it clear that Lingaa would not be released in their state unless the old dues are settled. So far the film has not been sold for Kerala as a result of this. With just ten days to go for the release, we have to see how soon the problem gets resolved.
